Hi, I'm Julia!
I’m the founder of Chronically You, LLC (est. 2025), a one-woman small business that blends my unique strengths as a multi-passionate marketer rooted in the healthcare and diabetes spaces, a health and wellness coach in the early stages of practice, and a storyteller with over 21 years of lived experience managing chronic illness.
Who I Am
I’m a Content Marketing Specialist, Writer, and Editor with a Health & Wellness Coaching certification, specializing in diabetes. I bring over two decades of lived experience with type 1 diabetes and deep subject matter expertise to deliver impactful, human-centered work that bridges strategy, creativity, and empathy.
With more than a decade of multi-functional marketing experience, I’ve contributed to projects spanning content, email, and digital marketing, social media, brand development, campaign strategy, graphic design, and operations. I’m passionate about fostering positive change through thoughtful solutions and building meaningful connections that drive results—especially within the chronic illness and wellness communities.
I thrive in dynamic environments where collaboration and innovation intersect. I approach problem-solving with curiosity, care, and a commitment to continuous learning. Writing and creating are where I feel most in flow, and I’m especially drawn to work that makes a tangible difference in people’s lives.
As a lifelong learner, I stay engaged with industry trends—particularly in content marketing, health, and wellness—and I care deeply about sustainability, inclusivity, and service. Whether I’m writing for my blog, developing video content, coaching clients, or supporting cross-functional teams, my focus is always on creating lasting value. I live by a simple but powerful methodology: Leave it better than you found it.
Career Journey
My career has spanned a diverse range of industries, including fashion, beauty, entertainment, publishing, events, medical supply distribution, and professional services. This variety has sharpened my ability to adapt, think strategically, and contribute creatively to mission-driven teams, especially those focused on improving community and patient health.
I got my start on the East Coast, working closely with executives to refine marketing strategies, strengthen client relationships, and support sales growth. Those early experiences shaped my marketing approach: thoughtful, data-informed, and always people-centered.
Some of my proudest milestones include supporting the rebrand of Love’s Baby Soft into Eau So Love’s for Dana Classic Fragrances, where I helped implement influencer marketing before it was the norm; working on data-driven audience engagement strategies at Wetpaint; and leading end-to-end marketing initiatives at Ledgeview Partners (now FORVIS), which contributed to the company being recognized as a top Microsoft Partner. While at Ledgeview, I was honored with the Brooke Webb Smith Memorial Award for collaborative leadership and process improvement.
At Beyond Type 1, I helped launch the organization’s first-ever National Diabetes Awareness Month campaign, which resulted in record-breaking engagement, celebrity involvement, and national visibility. That experience was deeply personal and reaffirmed my commitment to using my skills to uplift the diabetes community.
Alongside my marketing work, I’ve cultivated a strong voice in health advocacy. I’ve contributed to outlets like Her Campus, Insulin Nation, and Thought Catalog, and spoke on an international panel in 2019 about insulin accessibility. In 2021, I wrote and published Rosie Becomes a Warrior, a children’s book series designed to empower kids with type 1 diabetes and their families—a true labor of love.
Today, my work remains centered in the diabetes space and broader chronic illness and wellness communities, where I lead with empathy, creativity, and a community-first mindset. Through storytelling, content strategy, and wellness coaching, I help individuals and organizations create meaningful, lasting impact.
This brings me to today as the founder of Chronically You, LLC (est. 2025), which uniquely combines my skills in health marketing and coaching to deliver impactful, human-forward results. My story in motion. Your message, refined. Coaching, calmly delivered. My greatest desire is to help people connect with their higher selves and sense of purpose in these areas.
