Doing Business as Chronically You, LLC.
Hey, I'm Julia!
I'm the founder of Chronically You, LLC (est. 2025), based in the Fox Cities of Wisconsin. I partner with other businesses as a contractor to offer my content marketing, writing, editing, and health coaching services.
I'm passionate about helping others lean into what brings them the most joy in life.

About Me
I am a healthcare and diabetes marketing professional with over a decade of experience creating content, building audiences, and helping organizations communicate complex health information in clear, engaging, and actionable ways.

Living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) since 2004 has given me a unique perspective that informs both my work and my approach to patient engagement. Throughout my career, I've developed content strategies and created more than 1,000 pieces of content, including articles, blogs, eBooks, white papers, social media campaigns, newsletters, and educational resources.
My work focuses on translating healthcare information into content that builds trust, supports behavior change, and strengthens connections between organizations and the communities they serve.

I currently serve as Client Content Manager at Diabetes Nerd Marketing, where I lead content initiatives for organizations across the diabetes and healthcare landscape. Throughout my career, I've partnered with companies, nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and healthcare brands, including Beyond Type 1 and Edgepark Diabetes, and I continue to contribute as a writer and thought leader within the diabetes community.

My expertise spans content marketing, editorial strategy, healthcare communications, patient engagement, brand storytelling, social media marketing, and audience development. I have experience leading cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders, and developing content programs that support organizational growth and mission-driven goals.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Media and Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and am a MindBodyGreen Certified Health Coach (CHC) with additional certifications in Functional Nutrition and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). I am also completing the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) Lifestyle Coach Training to expand my expertise in behavior change and patient engagement, helping me create healthcare marketing that is both clinically informed and genuinely relevant to the people it serves.
In 2019, I represented the U.S. at a Change.org All Team Retreat, where I spoke about the importance of insulin affordability and access.

Additionally, I am the author of the Rosie Becomes a Warrior children's book series, available in both English and Spanish. My work is grounded in a simple belief: healthcare communication should be accurate, accessible, and genuinely useful to the people it's intended to serve.
Marketing with a Mission
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across industries including fashion, beauty, entertainment, publishing, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. These experiences strengthened my ability to adapt quickly, think strategically, and create messaging that resonates—especially for teams focused on meaningful impact.

Early in my career, I partnered closely with executives to refine marketing strategies, strengthen client relationships, and support business growth. That foundation continues to shape my work today: thoughtful, data-informed, and grounded in real human behavior.

I’ve contributed to a range of initiatives—from helping evolve legacy consumer brands and building data-driven engagement strategies to leading omni-channel marketing efforts for nationally recognized organizations.

A defining moment in my work came at Beyond Type 1, where I helped launch the organization’s first National Diabetes Awareness Month campaign, driving record engagement and national visibility. That experience brought together my personal and professional perspectives and deepened my commitment to using storytelling as a tool for advocacy and connection.

Another career highlight was supporting the launch of Love's Baby Soft perfume for a new generation, called Eau So Love's, which was considered for Allure's Best of Beauty the same year it launched.
In addition to my marketing work, I’ve written for platforms such as Her Campus, Insulin Nation, and Thought Catalog, spoken internationally on insulin affordability and access, and authored a children’s book series to support families navigating type 1 diabetes.

Today, I continue to partner with brands as a contract content marketer, writer, and editor—while also collaborating with organizations in coaching or patient-centered roles when aligned.

At the core of my work is a simple goal: to help people and organizations communicate with clarity, purpose, and impact.

If that resonates, I’d love to connect.
